PROPER BRUSHING TECHNIQUE:
Using a soft-bristle brush and a toothpaste that is accepted by the ADA, start on your:

Outside front teeth
- Hold brush at a 45º angle - where teeth and gums meet
- Gently move brush sideways - using short strokes

Outside & Inside back teeth
- Use short angled brush strokes - brushing booth teeth & gums

Inside front teeth

Chewing surfaces
- hold brush flat on surface
- brush back and forth
PROPER FLOSSING TECHNIQUE:
- Using a piece of floss around 18 inches long, wrap it around your middle fingers.
- Gently slide the floss between two teeth
and rub the floss up and down against the surface each tooth.
- Repeat the process for each tooth, including behind the back teeth.
- To avoid injury, never snap the floss into the gums.
